Ku-ring-gai Amateur Swimming Club is a family orientated swimming Club. The primary purpose is to provide swimming activities and competition for the local community. Over the past 49 years KASC has been passionately providing a swim club where members can develop their swimming skills and meet new people in an enjoyable, safe and healthy environment.
Our program caters for the beginner swimmer that requires help in the water through to national level competitors. Many of our members choose to further compete at external club and area meets.
We meet Saturdays 7:00 am to 9:30 am October to April at Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre, West Pymble. Winter meets are Fridays 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm May to September in the heated indoor 25 m pool.
Adults and children of all ages and abilities are welcome. We swim 25m, 50m and 100m events and 200m and 400m distance events. In competing at the weekly Saturday morning meets, all swimmers earn points for attending and improving their times, which contribute towards the achievement of trophies at the annual presentation evening. In addition we hold a club age championship event and other championship races are held during the season.
